Glen Mar Summer Camps

Glen Mar UMC is excited to bring you six different camp experiences for your child. Our day camps offer a wide variety of choices. They are recommended for children entering Kindergarten to those entering 6th grade. The Circus camp is through those entering 8th grade. For parents with busy schedules, you may choose to take advantage of our before and after camp care too. Space is limited so register today!

Outdoor Skills Camp June 30 to July 3 9am to 4pm

  Join Glen Mar’s Counselors and begin a fun exciting adventure in the outdoors. Each day will be a new lesson in outdoor skills training. You will learn skills in knot tying, fire building, cooking, camp set-up, campfire skits, songs and so much more. Thursday night will end our week with a family cookout and campfire. Prepared and performed by our campers for their families.

Ecology Camp July 7 to July 11 1pm to 4pm
(VBS 9am to noon)

  Campers learn how to help be better stewards of our environment. Join us during this short week while we learn the benefits of keeping our earth green. Each camper will learn what it takes to keep our land, water, and air clean both at home in in the world.

Science in Nature Camp July 14 to July 18 1pm to 4pm
(VBS 9am to noon)

  Did you ever wonder why birds fly, where bats go during the day, or want to look at the world from a bugs eye view? This camp will help identify the many wonders of science in our surrounding nature.

Infinity Sports Camp July 21 to July 25 9am to 4pm $150
  Why choose Infinity Sports Camp? To quote their brochure “positive sports training that allows every participant to achieve some level of success.... Sports are a worldwide platform that is used to build relationships, strengthen relationships and win people to the Lord.”

Circus of the Kids July 28 to Aug 2 9am to 4pm
(9am to 9pm on the 2nd)

  You don’t have to wait for the circus to come to town, now you can be the circus. Join us for a fun-filled week of acrobatics, clowning, skating, juggling, and much, much more. Our week ends with campers putting on their own circus. This camp is available for children entering kindergarten through the 8th grade.

Son Force Kids
Special Agents
Aug 4 to Aug 8 9am to 4pm $150
  The Son Force Kids headquarters is located on a satellite orbiting high above the earth. In this hi-tech command center, Son Force agents gather to prepare for their five Daily Missions: Trust! Unite! Train! Follow! Lead! Throughout the week you will have the opportunity to grow in your understanding of what it means to serve God with courage as you advance from Level 1 to Level 5 agents.

After Camp Care 4pm to 6pm $75 per week
  If you register for both Before Camp Care & After Camp Care, the cost is $120 per week

Deposits/Balances/Cancellations. A $40.00 deposit for each camp is due at the time of registration. All deposits are non-refundable and are applied towards the camp fee. All camp balances are due by June 1, 2008. Cancellations made prior to June 1 are eligible for a refund of 80% of the refundable balance. Cancellations made after June 1 and through June 15 are eligible for a refund of 50% of the refundable balance. Sorry, but no refunds are available after June 15.

Paid Conselors. If you are (or know someone who is) looking for an opportunity to work with the camp kids, paid positions are available. More info is here.
