Glen Mar Preschool is a non-profit outreach of Glen Mar United Methodist Church. The policies of the school are set by a board under the Disciple Core Ministry Team. We are able to provide a quality program only because of the many services and facilities offered as part of the church program.
We admit students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin. We acknowledge children as God's special gift and treat them accordingly.
Concern for each child as an individual is basic to our philosophy. We provide a wide range of experiences for two, three, and four year olds to help them gain confidence in their own abilities, adjust to group situations, develop good peer relations and prepare for structured learning when they reach kindergarten. Our curriculum is structured to provide the opportunity to meet the individual needs of the children we teach.
Our goals are to understand the basic emotional needs of each child and to provide a loving atmosphere and enriching environment wherein a child can express himself through play, to gain socialization skills in a setting with other children, to aid in large muscle and small muscle physical growth and to develop intellectual readiness for future learning.
